After struggling for the 18 years, next Friday, It will be 1 year in recovery from an opiate addiction. I went to rehab in Dahlonega, Georgia, and got cleaner. I say cleaner, because I still have a cocaine addiction, that I’m trying to make more recreational. So I recently made an appointment with a psychiatrist that specialized in drug addiction. He had me follow a process called, “flooding”, which is taking what you fear the most, and repeating that fear, over and over and over again…until that fear is conquered. After 1 week, not only had I emptied my bank account, but my wife moved back home with her parents, because my biggest fear is running out of cocaine.
